Introduction

Over 50 years of active breeding programmes have allowed the New Zealand bulb and flower Industry to produce exciting new varieties of this increasingly popular flower.

Bulbs/Tubers

All our tubers are grown from tissue-cultured stock using carefully managed production, harvesting and storage techniques. Using tissue-cultured stock ensures our high-quality product is free of disease.

Tubers generally take two full years of growth before a flowering sized Zantedeshia tuber is produced. The tubers produced from the first year of growth are known as T1 tubers and are used as growing-on stock. The Tubers produced from the second year of growth are known as T2 tubers and are used to produce flowering stock.

Tubers are measured across their diameter to determine their size and are available as:

T1 Tubers
Sizes: 1-1.5cm, 1.5-2cm, 2-3cm

T2 Tubers
Sizes: 3-4cm, 4-5cm, 5cm+

Storage and Shipping

The tubers are cooled to 8-10C, to break dormancy, and packed in custom designed boxes ready for shipping.
